About Dollar to debate

         Dollar to Debate is a nonprofit organization aimed towards empowering the women running in the presidential election of 2020 in the United States of America. Our goal is not to support a specific candidate or party, but rather to help women earn an even playing field in politics. Women are significantly under represented in the US government, the result of which clearly hinders the promotion of public policy that affects women, children, men and families. 

Regardless of gender, the best candidate for the position should be elected. However in many instances candidates cannot make it up onto the televised debate stage because they have not raised enough money from enough donors.

         In order for a presidential candidate to be selected for the debate stage, polling and the number of supporters a candidate has are taken into consideration. A supporter of a candidate has donated at least one dollar. Our goal at Dollar to Debate is to have citizens donate one dollar to each female candidate, so that they have the chance to take the debate stage and state their political views for the whole country to see. It is important that women have a chance to stand up for what they believe in, something that will help change our country for the better.
